I'm gonna say it. No, don't say it. You're gonna say it. No, I'm not gonna say it either. We're tired. No, we're not. I am super excited. You had a bunch of Sour Patch candies. I just did.
SPEAKER_04I I think I'm in a sugar rush right now.
SPEAKER_03Good for you. I'm like wide awake now.
SPEAKER_04Good for you. I had some, but I think I need another package. Might take some. Please. Thanks. Please. Um so while I take my Sour Patch out of the packet, um, I watched some really cool things. Oh, yay. So I watched um a Thelago movie called Thendora. Uh-huh. It's very good. It's a serious movie. You know those serious movies I like to watch. It's like a casty thing. Casty villagey thing. Oh, you love it. Like honor killing-ish type of stuff. But it's very well done. There's actors that I don't know. There's one actor that I did know. Okay. But he was in it for a very small piece, but a pivotable, piv pivotable role. Pivotal. Pivotal role. And the other actors were new actors, but they're very good. Okay. Everybody was really, really good. Very nice. Um, then I started um a movie called Little Hearts. Okay. It's also a Telegram movie. It's on Netflix.
SPEAKER_03I feel like I've seen the commercial for this one.
SPEAKER_04It's um people are saying it's the new like cutesy little movie that's out right now. And it is. It's really cute so far.
SPEAKER_03I feel like that name just sounds so familiar to me.
SPEAKER_04I haven't seen it all. The girl's really cute. Yeah. I don't think I'll be right back. No, he's kind of nerdy, but he's really funny. His uh dialogue delivery is really good. Okay. So I've um in the middle of that one. And then I I before I started even all these telegram movies, I wanted to watch Mrs. Remember um Sonia Malhotra won, she won something for this, Mrs.
SPEAKER_03It's called Mrs.
SPEAKER_04M R S Mrs.
SPEAKER_03Yes.
SPEAKER_04It was on like Z Movie or something like that. So I started watching it, and I'm like, this looks very familiar. And it is. It's a copy of a Malayali movie called The Great Indian Kitchen, which is so good.
SPEAKER_03Yes, I did see that commercial The Great Indian Kitchen.
SPEAKER_04So so good. And remember, I told you there's that one Malayali actor that I really like. It's that guy. Oh like he's not like anything great to look at or anything, but his acting is just amazing.
SPEAKER_06Acting is really amazing.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. So I I was just like, why, guys? They always call it. I mean, I like Sonia Malhothra. I really do.
SPEAKER_03But like she's gonna do what she can get. Like, honestly, what she's gonna do what she can get. Did she do a good job at least? I don't know.
SPEAKER_04I watched 10 minutes of it in turn off because I'm like, I know the story. Like, why would I want to just watch a repeat of the story actually? Yeah, that's the problem.
SPEAKER_03They kissed keep thinking people want to watch it. Yeah, don't know what I'm saying.
SPEAKER_04I'm sure she did a great job. I'm sure she did. She's a great actress. I like her a lot. She is, but then it just got me upset. But then I went down the Telugu movie hole and I started watching these Telugu movies instead. So it was good. It was good.
SPEAKER_03At least I did not watch anything DC, I haven't had a chance to. I was just busy with family over and stuff like that, so I didn't get to, but I'm still watching my Indian dramas and the dramaturges seems to be doing good for me.
SPEAKER_04Uh money darling, is the internet messy again? What's happening with the trending topics? Well, in America, trending topics okay, I'll come back to America.
SPEAKER_03To America. Are you know how last we were talking about Igden, the new movie that J Janet Khan? And Tipolovy. Yeah. Yes. And we were talking about, we were like, oh my god, it looks cute. What happened? Why is it is it uncute now? What happened? I'm SummonCon. Excuse me. Aracon is now again doing a remake of of another Western movie called One Day. Alright? And people are just like, why do you keep doing this? Like, why are you doing it? Like Lal Sing La Sing Chad Tank. Love Yapa feel badly. Was it a remake? But that was like okay because people say it was like kind of a targeted cooking. Yeah. So like no one even knows if it really did well or not because of that. So now here you go, egged in, same thing as One Day. And then it's like the cover is almost exactly identical to like what the cover is. What the Hollywood movie was? Exactly. Exactly.
SPEAKER_04Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_03It's basically the same thing. Like, why would you do that?
SPEAKER_04Come on, I was really excited about that. I mean, I didn't see One Day anyway, so maybe I'll still be excited about the Hollywood movies. But you don't just why are you doing it? I don't understand. You know, now on Netflix, like Mundi does, you can watch things in Hindi. Yeah. You don't even need the remake.
SPEAKER_03You don't even need the remake. Exactly. Like that's all you gotta do. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Oh, that's it. Well, I mean, and I just said Missus was a remake too. Like, why why do you guys keep doing this?
SPEAKER_03Go find some original stories. No. Yes, please. Please do that. Alright. And then just continue with the love news. Um, Nella Cooker just recently posted something that says goodbye to everything. Okay. She leave it. She said she said goodbye, everything. She ends her career in her relationships. I don't know what that means. It goes she was she posted saying time to take a break from rel responsibilities, relationships, work, and everything I can think of now. Not sure if I'll be back or not. Thank you.
SPEAKER_04What does that mean? Where where are you going?
SPEAKER_03I don't know what does that mean. Relationships, you mean like all your like your brothers, your your parents, your husband, your kids.
SPEAKER_04Does she have kids? Your kids? I think she has kids.
SPEAKER_03I don't think she has kids. But like are you giving that up? Or like when do you mean relationships? You just mean like your husband, you guys are breaking up? Or do you mean like outside of that immediate family, like other people, you don't want to have a relationship with them? Like, what does that mean? Very strange.
SPEAKER_04But is she not gonna be a singer anymore? Like I don't know, or is she not doing these dumb songs anymore? I wonder if that's okay. We're fine with that.
SPEAKER_03She felt like that song, that Lolly Two songs were just so bad. They were bad that she just decided, like, you know what? I'm gonna step back.
SPEAKER_04No, just just step back from trying to be what you're not.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, just go back to a normal singing.
SPEAKER_04And do your other song. We love your Bollywood song. Yeah, we do.
SPEAKER_03We loved it. And then stick to that. She had two parts to that. She also said, I request paparazzi's and fan to not film me at all. No one's gonna be. I hope you who is following you. You call me Picapop if you take the chapter. Nobody's following you. I hope you respect my privacy and let me live freely in this world. Yeah. They'll stop following you if you stop.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, you stop calling them and they'll stop following you.
SPEAKER_03No co no cameras, please. I request. This is the least you all can give me for my peace. Okay, maybe you stop calling the paparazzi where you go places. No one cares about your life. I don't. I surely don't care. Like, you know what I mean?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, like you just want attention. This is just attention. Exactly, is attention. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03To post something like is that is wanting attention. You don't want paparazzi to film you, don't tell them when you leave a hotel.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, because nobody knows who you are, dude. You acted like such a somebody when we were there. We were like no one knows you.
SPEAKER_03No one cared about you. We were you were on the street, I don't know who you are.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_03If I say you on the street, you walk around like I don't know who you are. Just another chick. Just another person, just on the road. That's it. Nothing else. One of our favorite couple, not really, I'm just saying it for fun. No.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_03Munar uh uh Mernal Takor and Danoosh. Apparently getting married. Wait, they're dating? I feel like I heard this lightly that they were dating. What? The whole backlash with her and making that Bibbasha comment. I think that I saw that she was dating a Danoosh. And now apparently she was a bit of a child. I feel like he just got divorced. Like he's been divorced for a while. Has it been a while? It has been a while, I think. Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04This is a weird looking couple in my head.
SPEAKER_03But I think she's looking for opportunities.
SPEAKER_04Oh.
SPEAKER_03I personally think I personally think so.
SPEAKER_04I wonder, have they even done a movie together?
SPEAKER_03I personally don't think so.
SPEAKER_04I don't think so either. Because she does South movies too.
SPEAKER_03She does, but I don't know if they did one together. Interesting.
SPEAKER_04That's uh I that's a very interesting couple. I don't I don't know.
SPEAKER_03It is very interesting. Um, but anyway, they're supposed to get married on February 14th. But you remember someone else was getting married February 14th.
SPEAKER_04Who?
SPEAKER_03I don't know if it's 14th, it's been February. Uh Vijay and Rashmika.
SPEAKER_04Oh, Rashmika.
SPEAKER_03Oh, double vetting! Double shadi. Maybe they'll use the same venue and they can save money.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_03Because they need to save money. They need to save money, yeah, exactly. Don't waste energy, people. Yes. Alright, so you know how I was talking about love and war. We were talking about Sanjay Lu movie. Love and War. We're excited about this. Yeah, Renbir, Vicky, Adya, Vicky is supposed to be. So there's a lot of classes that came up to it. I don't know if we talked about it, but people were talking about like how like the chemistry between the husband and wife isn't as great, but the chemistry between Vicky and It's always been that way. We know that. No one people saw that you guys had no chemistry in movies, so like just stop that. But anyway, they were like kind of upset that they those things weren't like they didn't look as good as like they were expecting it to because it was like their movie, kind of like, oh, look at us, we're together. Um, but it didn't happen for them, right? And Sanji Lula Bonsali has been like moving the the release date for so long.
SPEAKER_04So I thought it's released this year.
SPEAKER_032026, supposed to be. Apparently, is now releasing 2027. It got pushed to 2027. What? No one's gonna want to watch this movie, no one's gonna care about this movie, I think, by 2027.
SPEAKER_04I mean, we're gonna care about it when it comes out.
SPEAKER_03Oh, same thing will happen with Brahmashtra. Like they kept pushing it, pushing it, pushing it.
SPEAKER_04That was a terrible movie.
SPEAKER_03You know, it's gonna be I feel like you said you liked it though, right? I thought it was like in this It could be good. It could be good. Like the theater, I thought it was really good. When is that coming out? I have no idea. When is Ramayana coming out? Yeah, yeah. We don't even know. No idea. Every one of them. We're in beer, all run beer movies. I was gonna say common link, run beer. Alright, but big news. Well, depending on who who we talk to. Apparently, Dharma has dropped Karthik Arian. Oh, I mean if they dropped him or they just like decide they're not gonna work together anymore. Like it was like mutually a mutual decision. After the two mini-mediately, but this is particularly saying that current agency ends a tie up with Goa after Goa controversy and box off his setback.
SPEAKER_04No, okay. You are not backing off because of the Goa controversy. Because there have been bigger stars that have had bigger controversies. But I think I'm not backed out. I think you are backing out because you do not like this guy. He's an outsider. The end. I don't know.
SPEAKER_03I think heartthrob. I think what could be it is that that they probably in the back of the day they're okay with controversies. But right now he's doing bad. We know Dharma is very bad. We know Dharma is like they're stitching. They're like, you know, arrow is just going down. So it's like so bad. So I think he can't just can't afford to have negative things on Dharma. Especially why? Especially if Karthik Arian, the link up with a little girl, you know, like we talk about the C217.
SPEAKER_04But then listen, stop casting Nepo kids.
SPEAKER_03Agree.
SPEAKER_04Your arrow will turn around in a way.
SPEAKER_03I think so too. I'm with you. I I believe that. I think it's more that. Why? Stop dropping people out.
SPEAKER_04Absolutely. No one wants to watch your dumb movie. I mean, not not that I'm defending Karthikarian. I'm not care about him either.
SPEAKER_03We don't care about him either. We're just saying that like your movies are not doing good because your movies are not good. They used to be so good. They used to be so good. And the ones that are good, you're just like, don't promote them if you don't know about it.
SPEAKER_04You guys keep talking about this cubby cushy cubby gum too, and you're gonna cast the wrong people, and we're not gonna like it. And I like it. Nope.
SPEAKER_03Cast the originals if you can ask. Or good people. There's so many good people out there. Proven good people. Yeah. We'll be fine with it. Exactly. Agree.
SPEAKER_04Totally. Okay, Muni Wen, you think of 90s singers. Yes. What name stands out for you?
SPEAKER_03Um, so many people.
SPEAKER_0490s, 2000s.
SPEAKER_03That means Sononigum is one of our bigger guys, right? Oh. Yes. Mr.
SPEAKER_04So that's who I that's who I had in my head. So we're saying boom.
unknownWhy?
SPEAKER_04I was saying boom? You didn't sing in the movie Boom, thank God. Um so Sonunigam, um, like he also did a little bit of acting. And he was not good. Oh gosh. You saw this movie, right? I did. What was it called again?
SPEAKER_03Dushman. Dushman. Yes, yes, yes. And this was part of my like, I think the worst movie ever, worst plot stories ever.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Well, so I think for this episode, we'll kind of dive into singers who became actors and see again what worked, what didn't work. Yes. So no, you did not work for Sonu Gumster.
SPEAKER_03I don't know what happened there. And I think he really wanted to become an actor. Because I he's cute. I mean he's he's not bad looking. And he dances. I told you I recently saw him in a concert and he was killing it on stage with his voice singing and his little dance steps that he was doing. He had to, guys, he had to take off his shoes. Yeah. So he could do his like Vidia Vijuia dance. Yeah. Like I was I was like, this man's really into his dancing.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. So yeah. Um, so how well like where did he come from? He uh he had his early break um on Sadigama Pa. Oh, that was around that long ago?
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Dude, I didn't know that was around that long.
SPEAKER_04And it's it made him a household name before he became a huge this superstar that we know him as. And then his like real big breakthroughs, like we said in the 90s and the 2000s. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03I mean, he was everyone knew his songs.
SPEAKER_04Everybody. Like, so remember we're talking about the Border 2 song? Yes. That how it's like, I think it's the exact same lyrics, it's just new singers that have sang it in border, uh, Border 2. But the original Border song that Sonunigam sang, that's such an iconic song to me. And the voice, everything just sounds so, so good. Yep. Um, and then other songs that he's he's saying, like, I mean, there's so many actually. I can't even list, he just has so many. Um he had really great songs. Then, somewhere in between this singing career of his, you could have just stuck to the singing career, right? Nobody would have even had to even discuss this interesting period of your life. He decided to become an actor. Well, why not, right? Yeah, well you're in Bollywood.
SPEAKER_03Why did he want to become an actor?
SPEAKER_04I mean, you know, he's a decent looking guy. He like you said he's a good dancer. You saw him in concert, he was a good dancer, good performer. I mean, that doesn't make you a doesn't make you a act dancer. I mean, actor, does it? No, and he has proved that to us. So there was a movie called Johnny Dushman. That's the movie. He was not a full, full-on hero, but he was a supporting actor.
SPEAKER_03He was so bad.
SPEAKER_04I didn't see it.
SPEAKER_03I did. You saw it. I was bad. I don't know what to tell you. Why did you watch it? Because I told you back in the days, I used to watch every movie that I was in 2002. I used to anything that used to come, and my dad could get me the video of it, we would watch it. We would absolutely watch it. Well, yeah, that's what we did.
SPEAKER_04Good for you. Well, he had another movie too. It was called Love and Nepal in 2004. And it he was a lead role in that one. And I don't, I think negative hundred neg negative point five persons probably.
SPEAKER_03I think I think it was really bad because I remember his wife, he didn't come to one of the film fair awards. Um because why was he getting an award? He I think he was very he felt really bad that he didn't get an award, or like that that he felt the industry treated him badly. Wait, for acting? Yeah, singing, I'm sure he's in multiple. I very specifically remember she was complaining how the Bollywood treated him badly, and I think it was after his acting, and I think it's because he was not a good actor, but he also did another movie. Uh wait, there's a third? There's a third movie. So he did three movies. His other movie was called Gosh, Abhamarihote. And I feel like I've seen this movie too.
SPEAKER_04I don't even know what this is.
SPEAKER_03Okay, I see. And it's with um someone named Juhi Bubber.
SPEAKER_04No idea. Is that like uh Pratik Babber's? I think so.
SPEAKER_03So hold on. Pratik Baber's uh half sister. Oh, okay, okay. Yeah, yeah. So that movie also failed, if you were wondering what happened there. Yeah. Um so not so good. So poor Sonunigam, um, you know, I feel like he thought maybe because he was a good singer that he can get in and become um a great actor too, but unfortunately, I don't think he did it. Like his voice, what he does with his voice, he cannot do with his acting skills. And I think people, the audience, like I don't think anyone liked Dan people. I think it was a lot of backlash, and I think he was a little embarrassed when that happened.
SPEAKER_04I would be too like stick to singing. You have such a beautiful voice. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03So, okay, so you can do music videos. And you can do music videos, absolutely. If you want to act, so bad. Somewhat. And I think maybe that made him feel like I could be an actor too. I don't know what made him think he could be an actor, but whatever reason it was, I'm glad that he realized he cannot be, and he stepped back. And I love those people, and he went back to singing. So he's so good that people call him like the modern Muhammad Rafi. So, like, that's huge. That's good.
SPEAKER_02It's good, suffer.
SPEAKER_03Another singer turned actor. I don't think you remember him. I'm not sure if you know, but um Lucky Ali. Do you remember him? Yes. Ekpal Kajina singer. So he's his favorite singer right now. He I remember his songs, really good song. But he is the son of Mehmud, an work um actor, Bollywood actor. Oh. Okay.
SPEAKER_04Okay. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03No, I don't know. Um, and you don't remember him. No, but that's too old for me. Yeah, he is uh and I only reason I know of Mehmud is because like my dad went to the video store. No, no, no, no. Not the not though. The only reason I know about because I feel like he's an actor that people have talked about in the 90s a lot. And they had like um they give him so many recognitions and stuff like that. So he was he was a like a good good actor too. So yeah, that's why. And then his mom is like half Bengali, half Pashtun. So like he had that bloodline in him too. Okay. Um, and somehow he's connected to the Tagore family too. So he has arts like all in his family. So after he made his breakthrough in singing, he did a couple of his uh pop albums did really well. People were like, it was like over the charge and things like that. He decided he wanted to go into acting because he was the son of the comedian Mehmood, and he decided he wanted to like maybe try that, maybe it's the natural thing for him because that that's in his bloodlines. So he tried to focus on those. Um, he appeared in a couple of like um childhood movies. That's what that those are his like actual first breakthroughs of acting. Oh, he was a child actor. Apparently he was a child actor. Yeah, so that he did like Jotin Awab, some other things he did like here and there. Well, as an adult, he turned into acting the movie Kate in 2002. Yeah, another movie called Sur, the Melody of Life in 202 in 2002.
SPEAKER_04I remember I was interested in watching uh Sur because I was like, oh, Lucky Ellie's in it. Yeah. Because I loved really liked his voice. Um it was okay. The songs I think were good.
SPEAKER_03I think I saw Sur, and I feel like the songs are good. I don't remember anything about it besides it being the songs and that Lucky Ellie was in it. That's it. That's all.
SPEAKER_04Kante was Kante? That Kante?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, is that it was, right? Yep, is that Kante? He was in that one. What do I mean by that Kante? Amita Bachan.
SPEAKER_04Yes, that's what I mean by it. Like a big one, big film.
SPEAKER_03Exactly. It was a big film. Actually, I do remember watching Sur. It wasn't his acting wasn't bad, but I don't remember the movie was that memorable. It was a slow movie. Yeah, it was a slow movie. But uh Kante was good. I think he did a good job in that movie, too. Yeah, he was. So he wasn't a bad actor, but I don't know if like But he was also in both of those.
SPEAKER_04Well, actually in Sur, I think he was um he was a lead. Okay. But in Kante he was part of like part of a group of ensemble men, yeah. And then there was another movie, a third movie called Love at Times Square. Oh, I didn't see that one. Where he was also a lead. Okay. And he was I don't know that one then. It says here the film failed. I never watched it, but I did not watch it.
SPEAKER_03It failed because you didn't watch it. Yeah. If you had watched it, maybe you would have done better.
SPEAKER_04I should have done well. Um but I don't think acting was his priority, probably, right?
SPEAKER_03Probably not. Yeah. I don't think so. I think he he never drew like a lot a lot of crowd or fans. No one like cheered about him as much as they loved his music. Yeah. So like I think he just stepped away from the acting, which again, I I commend people who step away, realize it's not their thing, move away. So he moved away. And you know, he does um, I think he does he still do singing. I think he did Ekbal Kajina, you said. He I mean that was back in the 2000s, right?
SPEAKER_04Ekpal Kajina, like Rita Groshan's debut movie. Yeah. But you know, Lucky L E, like, good, good on you that you decided to just you wanted to try out acting. It wasn't for you. It wasn't for you.
SPEAKER_03And he and he's done some singing. Sorry, I'm gonna step back, I'm gonna go back a little bit. Yeah. He's done the song from Tu Mere Metere Metere Tu Mere, and then he also did song and they're the Do uh Do or Do Piar. So he has done some recent ones, but like not things that we remember on that.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, like they're not big, big hit like equal kajina hits.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I mean to mere metere one was, I think. I think people like that song. Oh, okay. A lot of people like actually really like that original song. Okay, so you're still in it.
SPEAKER_04Alright, somebody, there's another um singer-turned actor.
SPEAKER_03Oh my god, yes, please tell me who else.
SPEAKER_04Very nasally voice. Oh god. Oh my god, please stop. That I loved his songs.
SPEAKER_03I did too. I'm not denying it. I was obsessed with him in the 2000s. Obsessed. So I went and bought his album because I loved it.
SPEAKER_04But not only his singing, his singing was whatever. It was good because the song was good, right? Yes. But like his whole entire album, they were all so good. And they all had Amaron Hashmi. If you think about it. I mean, the movies did. The movies did. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Every movie. I think he was also a songwriter. Is he a songwriter? He's a composer. And a composer. So yeah. So before he even became a singer, he was a composer, right? Composer.
SPEAKER_04Then he became singer. Yeah. Now actor. And then I think also producer. So he just putting his hands everywhere. Yep. And I think he also does um judging. Like he judges. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yep.
SPEAKER_04So uh so he like he started off like like I said, singing or as a music composer, right? Back in the early 2000s. Um, he did Therinam. Did you know that? No, I did not know. Yeah, let me just double check.
SPEAKER_03Oh, yeah, because he him and Samankan got really close. Samankan helped him go into the industry, like really helped him move up in the music.
SPEAKER_04He does that too. When Samankan likes you, he will he will boost you up. Yep, he will definitely boot you up, boost you. Yeah, so I'm surprised that Therenaam was him because the music is very different than Ashrak Banaya, right? So, like very, very different from what we're used to hearing.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. He composed a lot of the songs. I don't think he sang any, but he composed mostly.
SPEAKER_04But that's what I'm saying, even as a con like a composer, right? So to me, that shows that okay, good, you're re-reinventing yourself. Yeah. Good job. But he has also reinventing himself in his looks. And that I did not appreciate. Remember back then he used to always wear hats? Yeah, the hats, and he was a little chubby. I liked his chubby look. No, I don't care about that. No, but now he's like, like he's he's worked out and stuff, but he So you don't like his worked out? It's not that. It's the way he dresses because he's a dressing.
SPEAKER_03He's trying to he's trying to get everything Salman Khan aura feeling.
SPEAKER_04Like, I guess. But Salman Khan, you could pull it off.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, Salman Khan had the face also to pull it off. Sorry, Himesh.
SPEAKER_04Yes. Um, but anyway, more on to Mr. Himesh Resha Mia. Some of the acting debut. What is the acting debut? Well, so that's what that's where I'm getting that's what I'm getting to. I just I did want to mention this special shout out to Thundery Knights.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_04We're getting there. We're getting there. We haven't gotten there yet. Hold on. Now, in terms of films, he's had he's had a little bit more than the other two. Okay. Um has no way. Yeah. Apka Sarur. Yeah, I remember that one. It was apparent supposedly it was a surprise hit. No, that's a lie. It's a cult movie, supposedly. Yeah. The songs are actually really good in that. Or these cult people that are watching these movies. Not me. The songs are really good. The songs are really, really good. Then there was a movie called Cars. Cars with four Z's. Yes, yes. I remember that one. Yeah, four Z. It was a big flop. Um, then there was another one called Radio, which I think also Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_03That one I don't remember.
SPEAKER_04It it was critic critically appreciated.
SPEAKER_03Okay, okay, okay. This is Did he write this? Are these articles written by him?
SPEAKER_04So he also did a movie with uh Mr. Kaladi. Did you know that? Oh, no, I did not know. Yes, Kaladi786, and he was nominated as a Stardust Award for Breakthrough Performance Male. What was he doing? When did this all of this happen? Where were we? I don't remember those.
SPEAKER_03I remember him doing two movies. Apka Zuru. There are way more than two. This recent one, a Rebbe Kumar or something. Badass Rebbe Kumar? Yeah. Yeah. We made fun of them.
SPEAKER_04Oh, in between, there were there was uh about at least ten in between.
SPEAKER_03I'm looking at Oh, I did not see those movies. Those must have been the years where I stopped getting grocery store videos.
unknownMaybe.
SPEAKER_04Maybe. But yeah, he's had quite a few movies actually. Uh clearly none of them had made an impression on us, but clearly we didn't watch any of them. No, I'm so that's why.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Um, but okay. I guess he's doing good for himself in the acting places. People like him last. Some people that we talked about.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Well, for badass Ravi Kumar, he won um the most iconic entertainer in for Pink Villa.
SPEAKER_03Oh, that doesn't count. Pink Villa is not Pink Villa is not. That's like one of the random Hey, an award is an award, a win is a win. Really, is that so?
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Is that so?
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_04But you know, I think it sounds like he's still gonna keep continuing.
SPEAKER_03I think so. If he has done well for himself or whatever crap he has made, yeah, if he has done well for himself, he's gonna keep going. He's not one of the people who's gonna back down. But like, did it say why he went into acting? Like, what was his reason for? Was it just because like one day he decided, like, I'm gonna wake up, I wanna be an actor? Probably.
SPEAKER_04That's that's I think that's or it could be maybe he started acting after he like did his whole like body reinvention. I don't know. Like, I have I don't know.
SPEAKER_03I'm I'm I feel like it's it's similar to like Son and we're like, oh, you know what? I'm such a great singer, I'm so good. Yes, I kind of can. I can be a good actor too. I can be a good actor, like what's so great about acting, I could do it too. And I think that's what got in love. And he maybe had a couple people like push him in the back. Like, yeah, you could be a good actor, you should you should totally do it. There's always a yes man. Exactly, totally just just to be on his good side, you know. So that's probably why he why he started doing it.
SPEAKER_04Well, he's gonna continue to do it, it looks like, because that that latest one was just in 2025, which was a few just last year. Um, and then he also does judging and stuff, like on Sariga Mappa, which I've seen some of his like clips and stuff. He's he's good. He's not bad. But he always goes wah va. Like he gets very excited. Well, he also got hair transplanted. Yes, he did. He got hair transplanted.
SPEAKER_03You wanna say Mahon Khan one too? That's why.
SPEAKER_04They all go cook.
SPEAKER_03Well, now that we finished all these people, there's someone that we definitely want to talk about. Who we will completely agree that he did a great job. The guy that we like, that we love his singing, and we think his acting is great, is Drumroll, please. Diljeet! The song. Yes, Diljeet is one of those actors that we sorry, singers that turned actor, and in our opinion, it has been great. He uh was born in Dosange, Galan, Punjab, but I'm not sure where that city is or anything like that. And he started singing in 2002 and he became a major Punjabi. Did he just star in 2002 as a singer? That's crazy. Yeah, so his singing career started in 2002. He became a major Punjabi um music star with albums like Smile, Chocolate, Next Level, and stuff like that. Um and then I think after doing those, he started getting into like getting that I guess also having the feels that maybe I should be an actor as well. He decided to do um uh I think Punjabi movies first.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, he was in Punjabi movies.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. And then he did his leading uh film in a movie called The Lion of Punjab. Oh. And that was 2011. So it's kind of recent, right? Yeah, and then he just was doing so well in Punjab uh uh in the Punjab film industry, he decided they like kind of pulled him into Bollywood and he did the movie Urta Punjab.
SPEAKER_04And he was everybody was really good in that movie. Yeah, like Alia Butt blew me away, but he was very good too. He was a police officer, and I think he was the one that was um looking for drugs or something, right? But he was so so so good.
SPEAKER_03Um supporting actor, but people are saying that he stole the scene.
SPEAKER_04Like he was Yeah, he got best male debut for from Film Fair and Best Supporting Actor. That's amazing. Supporting actor um as a nomination. Yeah. And then I think he did a few other movies, right? Like he did um. Well he did a bunch, he did a bunch of other movies.
SPEAKER_03Supporting role type of movies. Yeah, yeah. He was also in uh good n uh in bad news. No, but good news. Good news. Good news with Akshay Kumar. Yeah, he did a lot of other movies. He also has a lot of a bunch of his own movies too that he's done. Yeah. But like he's kind of a he's one of those actors that's like a natural into act acting single. But we like him. We actually like him as a per like like whatever his interviews have been on. We've liked him as an interviews, we've liked his songs, like we absolutely love his songs, yes, and then we love um his like whatever we have seen of him, yeah-wise. But like his earlier movies are all with like other actors, right? Yeah, like like a dual, dual acting. I don't think he's in anything that's solo in Bollywood, has he? Chomquila. Oh, yes, that's a new recent one that's a very good movie. Acting was very good. Yeah, like he was so so good. That's I mean, yeah, so Chomquila, him being able to do that movie, that's great. Um, and generally people give positive feedback to him. Like his acting and his singing, he does really good. And recently he's doing uh he's been being in border two, and he sang the song, the new song, in it too. So like we love, we love his voice.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, and I mean don't forget all like all his the tours that he's done. He was in uh Coachella, and then he's done his 2020. That that tour that we we missed, we're kicking ourselves from missing. When he came to DC, and I think he's currently on a tour right now, um, I think through Australia and stuff, the Aura Tour.
SPEAKER_03Aura Oh, okay, I don't know about that one. But but like he has charted internationally in the Billboard Social Charts Um and in fashion and culture. He was on um and Met Gala Jimmy Fallon? He was Jimmy Fallon performed there, he was at the Met Gala, we talked about it last year. Yeah, yeah. We talked about like his dress code, like what he did. And so people know Dil G. He's collaborated with so many artists too from the Western world, too. So like he did with Sia. Um, so I remember that song was really cool. Oh, right, yeah, yeah. So a lot of his songs are in our Val playlist as well. And we love his voice, so he's he's there. We like him.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, he's good. He actually did he did well going into acting. Yes, yes, like I know he's trying to add Punjabi films, but even his Hindi films, I think most of the ones that he that we've seen of his, yeah, we like. Yep. So continue. You continue. You know what? We give you our blessings. You keep singing and keep acting.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, for like for us, I think for so given the singer turn actor, who do you think made the most success? Bill G. Yeah. I mean, absolutely. No, I think singer turned stay singer, sonu niggum. Yes, fur-lift experiment, sonu nigam. Like you tried it out, you tested the water, you decided like it's not gonna work for us, not gonna work for me. That means step back. Yeah, and then overreaching. Himu? Yeah, he made sure he messes me. Like, yeah, dude, like you do great music. I don't want I know I don't watch your movies. I know some of this kind of weird ass cut following you have. He does know what they're wanting to do. He does though. I think he really does. Stop um wasting money. I don't know. I don't know, stop wasting.
SPEAKER_04And then I don't know where Lucky Ellie would fit into.
SPEAKER_03I guess kind of neutral because he did like only a couple of movies and then moved back out. But he's only done a couple of songs too.
SPEAKER_04I think he has um his own albums.
SPEAKER_03I think he does, but I feel like in the recent, he's just like doing like one or two songs and like whatever. He doesn't, I guess he's maybe he has like family money, he doesn't need money.
SPEAKER_04I don't know, you know, I don't know living off that ick polcajina money.
SPEAKER_03Maybe, maybe. Who knows? Yeah, that's an iconic song. Everyone knows that song. Everyone he probably is living off the do they give or in India?
SPEAKER_04I don't know if they do that in Bollywood. Okay, money, it is blindy windy time. Yes, yes, tell me. A former child artist from a recent blockbuster is said to be close to signing a full-fledged love story, directed by a Maverick filmmaker and co-starring a promising young hero. Can you guess the actress and the young hero? Any guesses? No, you suhana Ananyak? No. So they're saying Sarah Arjun, Blockbuster. She was in a Blockbuster.
SPEAKER_03Yes, yes, yes.
SPEAKER_04And then they're saying possibly the young hero could be Ahan Pande. That would be good. That would be good. Right? Sarah Arjun and Ahan Pandey would be good. Some someone said that the Maverick filmmaker could be SLB. Sanjay Lila Bonsali.
SPEAKER_03Oh, is that what Sanjay Le Basali is pushing it out 2027? No, that's gonna be like 2050. I don't think it's Sanjay Lee Bonsali. I don't think so either.
SPEAKER_04Maverick filmmaker sounds like somebody like you know the um Maddox films or something like that is gonna be.
SPEAKER_03It can't be Sanjay Le Bonsali because Sanjay Lee's so busy with love and horror. I don't think so. I don't think so. I agree.
SPEAKER_04But I mean, Ahan Pandey and and that chick, that'd be nice to look at. They're good. I would look at a good looking couple. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Both can act. Yep, both can act, both good looking, and they're both young. They're not like a weird age gap. Yep. So it'll work out.
SPEAKER_04This outsider actress became the national crush after her debut movie. She's not an A-lister, but manages to stay in the news for her love life in photo shoots. She was madly in love with her action star ex-boyfriend, but he was in no mood to commit. After years of dating, they finally broke up. She has started dating a musician recently. As per Hesaurus, she was involved with a married female TV star who was also acting Oh, I know who this is. He was also acted in several movies. She was linked to her debut female co-star as well. Her co-star is now married to a handsome actor who was once close to a top filmmaker. Wow, this is a lot. Okay. Who do you think the chick is? The main.
SPEAKER_03Oh yeah, that's right.
SPEAKER_04Okay, so yeah. And then she's supposedly dating this Thelvinder guy. Do you know that singer who has like the Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_03I did see that recently. If she did like holding hands or something like that.
SPEAKER_04It was like Moni Roy, him, her, and some other guy. And I don't know the other. Moni's husband, I think it was. Was it Moni's husband? Maybe. Because he kept he was on top of Disha the whole time. Oh then I don't know about that. I don't know. Anyway. Um, and then they're saying that they're saying that the other names, uh, her co-star that the co star the the female co-star that she did, she was linked to her debut female co-star. Kiara? Was she linked to Kiara? Yep, she was less. She was?
SPEAKER_03Yep.
SPEAKER_04She was.
SPEAKER_03That's what they're called. That's what they were saying, Kiara and Sid's marriage is a lavender. Lavender ooh. Because they're both into um other people. Interesting. And that Sid is really into women and Sid is really into men.
SPEAKER_04I did not see this one coming, but Okay. Very interesting. Thank you for those blinds, ma'am. Very welcome. Okay, money. It is vow time. Yes, ma'am.
SPEAKER_03What have the polls said to us today? Okay, the poll this week is in a song called Sanam Bedehem. Okay. So the song is by uh some singer called Sultana Nuran. So it's just uh it's a pop song. It's not from a movie or anything like that. Okay, Mani, so what's your vow? You know what? I haven't heard anything recently that's been good or anything like that. Um, but there's a song called Jadu featuring Mickey Singh, and it's by this guy named Fateh. Oh, Fate, like Fate Fate from Can Canada Fun? Yep, yep, it's good. Fate, and Mickey Singh is uh featuring him. It's a pretty fun beat to listen to.
SPEAKER_00Nice.
SPEAKER_01Like that diamond, I got you, baby girl, you're flawless.
SPEAKER_04My vow is um Mr. Diljit the Songe. It's called Charmer. It's one of his not so recent, not so recent, but not so not recent either. Okay. Um it's nice. It's a fun, it's a fun, you know, Diljit song, you know, the songs that we love from him.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, we love Dilgit. His songs are so good. All right, thank you. Bye. Like, share, follow.
SPEAKER_04We love you guys too. It's fine. I gotta be myself. I'm not gonna be like, yeah, eat your sweater. I I will.
SPEAKER_03Go, come on. Um, is it every time? Because even if it's a man con thing, I finally heard it. Yeah. It was so good. But they're like every new topic.
SPEAKER_04So money. Okay, I'm gonna change it up. Okay, money dolling. No, no, don't do that.
SPEAKER_03Yes you can't. Yeah, critically. Oh my god. I cannot believe that. I don't know. Badass Rebby Kumar.
SPEAKER_04I'll because you're literally so many more. Why? Okay, the explosion is down. Oh, yeah. Filmography. Hold on, I think I found it. I found it.
SPEAKER_03Okay, so I'm gonna go.
